The effect of IPRED

Since April 1, internet traffic in Sweden has been cut in half.

The new IPRED law let anyone claim the identity behind an IP address in Sweden. All the work to get this law passed has probably made a difference, but the real "bad guys" will spend $10-50 per month to use a VPN service (the ones that doesn't already) hiding their identity. In addition we see new applications/systems for filesharing enter the market, like OneSwarm: [video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FXRFcvonp0] Why doesn't the music industry (and the other victims) create innovative solutions to piracy? It wasn't the IPRED law that stoped me from downloading music. It was Spotify...and yes, I am using a premium account.
